B&S Group is proud to have been named runner-up at the High Sheriff Sustainability Awards 2025, recognising the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainable engineering and environmental responsibility.

The awards ceremony, held on 27 March 2025, celebrated organisations across the region that are making meaningful contributions to sustainability and environmental stewardship. B&S Group’s recognition places the business among leading organisations driving responsible, forward-thinking practices within their respective industries.

Commitment to Sustainable Engineering

B&S Group’s award submission focused on the development of innovative modular structures designed to house high-capacity electrical systems, including 8000 AMP bus bar systems, battery banks, and advanced control infrastructure. These engineered solutions are manufactured off-site and delivered ready for integration, enabling rapid deployment while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Traditional construction methods — involving on-site steel fabrication and installation — are often time-intensive, labour-heavy, and disruptive, particularly within operational industrial environments. By contrast, B&S Group’s modular approach significantly reduces build time, energy usage, and on-site disruption, while improving overall efficiency and project certainty.

Supporting Carbon Reduction and Energy Efficiency

As part of its continued development programme, B&S Group is working alongside major industrial partners to advance modular Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) building solutions. These systems are designed to enhance deployment speed and operational efficiency within existing heavy industrial sites, supporting decarbonisation initiatives while minimising operational risk.

The modular CCS approach enables a more energy-efficient build and installation process, helping clients accelerate sustainability objectives without compromising site operations or safety.

Recognition of Team Effort

Commenting on the award, Jason Wittenbrink, B&S Group, said:

“This recognition reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire team. Sustainability isn’t just an initiative for us — it’s embedded in how we design, manufacture, and deliver our solutions. Being recognised at the High Sheriff Awards validates our approach and motivates us to continue pushing forward with even more sustainable engineering solutions.”

Looking Ahead

The High Sheriff Sustainability Awards recognition marks another milestone in B&S Group’s journey towards delivering environmentally responsible infrastructure solutions. As demand for low-carbon, efficient power systems continues to grow, B&S Group remains focused on innovation that supports both operational performance and environmental progress.
