The Challenge

As a multi-phase renewable development, the project required:

  • A coordinated substation strategy across primary and secondary assets

  • High-quality enclosures delivered ready for rapid connection and testing

  • Minimal programme risk to maintain momentum across construction phases

  • Infrastructure designed for long-term operational performance

All works needed to align with European Energy’s sustainability goals and strict grid compliance requirements.

Outcome

All substations were successfully delivered and installed in line with programme requirements, supporting a solar farm that will:

  • Generate up to 15MW of renewable electricity

  • Power approximately 4,700 homes with clean, home-grown energy

  • Operate for up to 40 years

  • Prevent an estimated 304,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions, equivalent to removing 176,000 cars from UK roads

The project also contributes to local environmental enhancement through biodiversity-focused land use proposals.
