LV Auxiliary Buildings for Zenobē BESS Projects
Supporting the UK’s journey toward a net-zero electricity grid.

Client / Partners:
Omexom UK
Zenobē
Schneider Electric
Sector:
Power Transmission & Storage
Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
Capability:
LV Auxiliary Buildings
Modular Infrastructure
Turnkey Electrical Solutions
The Challenge
Modern BESS facilities require highly integrated auxiliary infrastructure that can be delivered efficiently, safely, and with minimal on-site work. Each building needed to house complex electrical equipment while remaining compact, compliant, and ready for rapid installation.
B&S Group Solution
B&S Group designed and delivered turnkey LV auxiliary buildings, fully assembled and equipped prior to delivery.
Each building was supplied with:
-
2MVA Cast Resin Transformer
-
Close-coupled 3200A LV switchboard featuring Mains / Generator Auto Transfer Switch
-
Schneider Electric outgoing ACBs and MCCBs with smart monitoring and control
-
Fully pre-installed auxiliary systems, including:
o Lighting
o Air conditioning
o Dehumidification
o Fire suppression systems
This off-site fabrication approach ensured quality control, reduced installation time, and enabled rapid commissioning once on site.
Outcome
The LV auxiliary buildings were delivered as fully turnkey solutions, supporting efficient deployment of battery storage infrastructure with minimal disruption to site operations.
These facilities play a vital role in enabling renewable energy deployment and providing grid stability services — reducing reliance on fossil fuel generation and supporting the UK Government’s net-zero ambitions.
